Menstrual pain: Does CBD is the answer?

Looking for a painkiller when you have your period? The CBD molecule could help. We tell you more.

Getting your period is no picnic. The menstrual cycle is usually accompanied by premenstrual syndrome, otherwise known as PMS. This is characterized by monthly pains, such as stomach aches, headaches, digestive problems, mood swings, etc. While these disorders do not make the daily life of many menstruating women any easier, it seems that CBD could naturally reduce these menstrual pains. Yes, you read that right.

An effective molecule?

This molecule, called cannabidiol, comes from the hemp plant commonly known as cannabis. It has many virtues such as anxiolytic properties, mood regulation, anxiety reduction and pain reduction. According to several studies, CBD binds to the endocannabinoid receptors present in the uterus to fight against pain and thus reduce it.

How to use CBD?

Please note that when we talk about CBD, we are not telling you to smoke a joint, far from it. This molecule is used in products such as natural oils or herbal teas. It is therefore recommended to use a CBD-based oil to reduce menstrual pain, by placing a few drops under the tongue, or to prepare a CBD-based herbal tea. So, are you ready to try it?
